The area should have adequate water supply, electricity, hospital, market place, public conveyance facilities, schools, recreational centre etc. The place should be close to your work place and your children’s school. If you do not mind, you can always approach a broker for your housing needs; they have better contacts and can finish the deal within no time. Once the house is located, thoroughly inspect the house and check for water and electricity supplies. These two are vital amenities you need to check. Collect details about the locality by talking to neighbours or people in the same apartment to get first hand information about the landlord and the area you are going to live in. Safety arrangement should be checked, in case of a flaw, request the landlord to make necessary changes.

Before finalising the rental amount, it is advised to bargain. It would be wise if you can check the on going rental rates in the locality, to have a better edge over the landlord. This can be done easily, if you check rental websites or talk to your neighbours. A rental deposit is paid to the landlord. So be prepared for the security deposit. The documentation and other related documents should be prepared by the landlord. Before signing on the dotted lines, read the contract carefully, do not miss any fine prints in the contract. This can avoid any litigation in the future. All major and minor issues should be talked about in advanced before entering into an agreement. Do not be in a hurry to shift, think twice and analyse thoroughly before deciding on the property. House Rental agreements should contain details like rental amount, date of expiry of the contract and maintenance clauses.
